A bit about Powerhouse Electrical...
Powerhouse Electrical was founded in 2018 by Steve Southon and Mitchell Markov. After working for various electrical companies for over a decade, we decided to go out on our own and make a name for ourselves here in Upper Hutt as Powerhouse Electrical. We called the company Powerhouse Electrical as we used to be gym buddies; one of our team members came up with the name and it just stuck.
Fast forward to present day, and we have a hard-working team behind us that is amazing at what they do; we provide beautifully designed electrical work, smart security systems, energy efficient solar panel installations and hassle-free HVAC installations, as well as repairs and maintenance on all of our services.
No matter what the job, our clients will be taken care of. We ensure open and honest communication, exceptional workmanship and quality, as well as a positive, can-do attitude.

Steve has been in the electrical industry for 15 years, working for various companies before co-founding Powerhouse Electrical. Whether it’s quoting up a job or project management, he’s your guy.
Dom Mohr
Senior Electrician
Dom has been working for Powerhouse Electrical from its early days. He enjoys getting his hands dirty and seeing the end result of a particularly complex project or large job.
Marly Head
